Hello, I’m Tom Wilson, founder of docuMOP. As a professional engineer, I have seen the need for better documentation of facilities, especially within IT and laboratories where I have concentrated work efforts for 30 years. Panicked manager calls come in at times about urgent situations such as critical IT systems on battery when utility power hasn’t failed and equipment alarms that no one knew whether nor how to respond to. In some cases multiple personnel have been called in to react to conditions that didn’t require it and just the opposite also occurs, where fast reaction was required but solutions were difficult to implement because no response plan to easily foreseen situations was in place. In fact I recall joking many times that when I retire I’ll just work labeling at client’s facilities however the problem would be I would end up working more as the need is so high.
Well docuMOP is a solution to fill the widespread need of helping organizations to better know what they have, more easily access that information and to realize where they need pre-planned procedures. docuMOP has been developed to be economical and flexible to meet any group’s requirements from a home version to assist in situations such as when one spouse is away and another is home and some lights are off or an appliance is not working properly. With docuMOP hosted in the cloud one can have their circuit breaker schedule and appliance manuals available wherever they are and help their spouse from afar. Similarly for complex facilities of any type, key information can be available to onsite or remote employees, contractors and consultants to assist in any type of need.
With our fire department data module which is standard in all modules as it is life safety related, you even have information available remotely to assist and guide fire responders with what risks are within your facility and where those risks are or what areas are super critical to your facility. Again being cloud based no one even need be in the facility to obtain key information. Without an organized, systematic library of information it is impossible to react properly and quickly.
In many organizations the information needed exists, it just isn’t in one accessible place. docuMOP allows the gathering and hosting of such information. Where assistance is needed to gather, survey or develop key information and plans docuMOP can provide self guidance or we can come onsite to assist client’s. Where one has documentation and plans already done great, let’s pull them together. In contrast, where MOPs need to be created docuMOP will assist in or completely develop these. In many cases we’ve developed MOPs for other clients that may suit your needs already. docuMOP is a great offering and service.
